Blog tour, Interview and Giveaway : Forgiving Gia, by Gina Whitney

Synopsis
Abel Gunner is a rock-star with legendary skills both in and out of the bedroom. He swore he wouldn't fall for another woman after being schemed and manipulated by an ex-lover. He kept that vow until he met Gia Mastro. The Dom inside of him awoke the moment he set eyes upon the submissive beauty. His dark soul hungered for her submission and affection. The deep connection they share leaves him desperate for something he never expected – her love. Her pain brings him the pleasure he craves. Her smile calms the beast that rages within him. Gia loves Abel more than life itself, but Abel is disillusioned by love and wrecks Gia in the process. Her life hangs in the balance. His life depends on forgiving her. This couple must face many truths. Is love enough to overcome the damage that dwells within? Gia’s experiences with love have been nil until meeting the infamous bad-boy rocker, Abel Gunner. Swept up in a mind-bending, Dom/submissive love affair, she’s forced to make decisions that both help and hurt their relationship. They both have to face their demons before they can embrace a future together. In the end, they’re faced with two choices: Fight for their love, or die with their demons.

Our Interview with Gina Whitney :

Raunchy, Rude Reader’s Blog : Why did you decide to become a writer?

Gina Whitney : I love to read, and have a vivid imagination. When I set my mind to something there's no stopping me. I like to do different things. Especially if it's out of the norm.

RRRB : What are the most important attributes to remaining sane as a writer?

GW : Staying humble is one for me. There are a myriad of fantastic brilliant writers. You need to keep putting out great books. Keep writing! I feel such growth with every new book.

RRRB : How did you decide to go from paranormal to erotica?
GW : First, and foremost paranormal is my favorite genre. Erotica, is very tangible to me. I felt paranormal would be harder to break into(it was).

RRRB : How do you react to a bad review of one of your books?
GW : I'd like to say I'm thick-skinned, but I'm not. I try to take it in stride. Truly, it depends on where my head's at that day.

RRRB : Do you ever write naked?
GW : No, but I usually wear boxers and a tank.

RRRB : While writing, do you drink alcohol to beef up your creative imagination?
GW : Sometime, yes! Wine gets me tired. So, I tend to lean toward an IPA beer(which is hopsy, strong, and my fave).

RRRB : Does your family read your books? How do they react?
GW : A few have read, and basically have said "Clearly, you get your imagination from my side.".

RRRB : How do you research your novels?
GW : Mainly the internet, but most of my books are of past experience.

RRRB : Do any parts of the story come from real life experiences?
GW : Yes, yes, and yes! They are all facets of me, and my experiences. I may have re-shaped them, but I've lived them mostly.

RRRB : How did you think of a 12-inch-man (see Beautiful Lies)???? I have never met one of those....
GW : Actually, yes..lol. Someone from my past. I tend to write from a place of honesty and truth.

RRRB : Are the names of the characters in your novels important?
GW : Yes! I have to feel the name. The name Abel, while not common just moved me.

RRRB : How did you come up with Abel Gunner?
GW : Abel, is part if the name of my favorite band and a certain someone close to me.

RRRB : Do your characters ever tell you what to write? Or do you know exactly how their stories will end?
GW : Sometimes, I know the ending before I've written the first sentence. It happened that way in Saving Abel book one.

RRRB : Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
GW : I have three tattoos, and had a belly piercing.

RRRB : Do you enjoy giving interviews?
GW : When I have time..absolutely.

I grew up reading Judy Blume, and Nancy Drew books. I was raised in the town of North Valley Stream, New York(Long Island), and attended community college for fashion design. At 19 years old I opened a boutique. Recently, I published my second novel Beautiful Lies(erotica). Saving Abel(Erotic-Rock-Romance) will be my third and will be published June 30th. When I'm not writing, you can find me with friends and family. I live in Massapequa, NY with my two beautiful boys PJ and Drew, and our Mastiff Hercules. Reading has always been a passion and obsession. You can usually find me typing furiously while shouting obscenities over my latest WIP. My guilty pleasures are: a good laugh, being snarky, espresso, Pistachio ice-cream, alternative music, sunflower seeds, I.P.A's, twizzlers, and above all steamy swooning angst filled novels. I'm pathologically obsessed with True Blood(Eric ;), Games of Thrones, White Queen, Vampire Diaries, Resurrection, and The Originals. If you'd like to chat. Hit me up on Facebook or twitter.
